Career and Achievements

Alessandro Scotto di Luzio began taking private singing lessons at the Conservatory of Naples San Pietro A Majella at a very young age. In 2004, he began studying and perfecting himself with maestro Luigi Giordano Orsini. In 2006, at just 19 years old, he won first prize at the 12th edition of the Città di Bacoli National Competition and joined the choir of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome as an adjunct, where he remained until 2008.

Subsequently, he obtained the lower level of singing at the Avellino Cimarosa Music Conservatory and won the competition for admission to the School of Italian Opera of the Teatro Comunale of Bologna. Between 2008 and 2009, he won the 1st Prize at the XIV International Opera Singing Competition Ritorna Vincitor held in Ercolano, won the tenor section and won ex-aequo that of the Tour de Chant in the RAI 1 television show Domenica In hosted by Pippo Baudo, and was a finalist and judged suitable for the 60th Competition for Young Opera Singers of Europe 2009 organized by As.Li.Co.

In 2009, he debuted the role of Rodolfo in La Bohème in Ercolano at Villa Campolieto and the role of Tonio in La Figlia del Regiment at the Teatro Sociale of Como. In 2010, he debuted the roles of Nemorino in L’Elisir d’Amore in Bologna, Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto in Trapani, and Ernesto in Don Pasquale in Padua. He achieved important personal success as Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor with Aslico in Como, Cremona, Fermo, and Ravenna.
