Career and Achievements
Alessandra di Giorgio is a soprano who sang Manon Lescaut (Genova, Trieste, Lucca, Ferrara, Pisa…), Tosca (Moscow, Novosibirsk), Tabarro (Giorgetta – in Taormina), Madama Butterfly (Cagliari – TV streaming, Como, Montevideo…), Adriana Lecouvreur (Catania), Aida (Taormina, Braunschweig, Spalato, Belgrade, Iasi…), Gioconda (Catania), Manon Lescaut in Trieste, Il Trittico in Verona, Elisabetta in Don Carlo (Sydney), Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana (Berliner Philharmonie – CD Brilliant, Taormina, Catania, Chieti…), Verdi’s Lady Macbeth (Aachen, Cottbus, Trapani).
She has interpreted Verdi’s Requiem many times always with great success (Fribourg, Aachen, at the Philharmonie de Paris, Versailles Festival, La Seine Musicale, Stadtcasino Basel, Brucknerhaus in Linz and I Racconti di Hoffmann in Hamburg).
She won numerous competitions including the Hariclea Darclee Gold Medal, Vienna International NY Competition, City of Alcamo Competition (3rd prize and special prize) and she immediately started an important career, collaborating with conductors such as D. Renzetti, S. Ranzani, G. Bisanti, D. Jurowski, E. Mazzola, R. Gianola, A. Pirolli, S. Zilias, F. M. Carminati and others.
