Career and Achievements

Gaetano Triscari was born in Messina on October 1, 1994. In 2014, he acquired classical maturity. He completed a three-year academic degree in opera singing at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome with a score of 110 and honours.

In November 2015, he performed in the opera The Barber of Seville by Gioacchino Rossini in the role of Bartolo in a concert form at the Eliseo Theater in Rome. In 2016, he made his debut in the opera L’Elisir d’Amore by Gaetano Donizetti in the role of Dulcamara at the Theater of Novoli (Le) and performed the role of Masetto at the Arezzo Festival under the direction of Ludek Golat.

In 2017, he debuted in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle during the Festival an Organ for Rome in collaboration with the Rossini Foundation of Pesaro. In 2018, he performed as Basilio in The Barber of Seville by Gioacchino Rossini at the Municipal Theater of Modena, as a solo bass in Stabat Mater by Rossini at the Municipal Theater of Ferrara, as Count Monterone in Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto at the Greek Theater in Taormina, and in the production of Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle at the Green Festival of the Regio Theater of Parma at the Cathedral of Parma.

In 2019, he played Banco in Verdi’s Macbeth at the Garibaldi Theater in Modica, Count Monterone in Verdi’s Rigoletto at the Municipal Theater of San Severo for the San Severo Opera Festival, Zuniga in Bizet’s Carmen, and covered Banco in Macbeth at the Sferisterio di Macerata for the Macerata Opera Festival, and again as Count Monterone in Verdi’s Rigoletto at the Politeama Theater in Lecce.

In 2020, he performed Count Monterone in Verdi’s Rigoletto at the Galli Theater in Rimini, Zuniga in Bizet’s Carmen at the Bellini Theater in Catania under the baton of Fabrizio Maria Carminati. He also played Guccio in Gianni Schicchi for the opera film by Damiano Michieletto, Sciarrone in Tosca for the Teatro Verdi in Pisa under the direction of Hirofumi Yoshida with Enrico Stinchelli, Billy Jackrabbit in The Girl of the West at the Big Theater of Brescia under the baton of Valerio Galli directed by Carlo Cigni, and Billy Jackrabbit in The Maiden of the West at the Teatro Sociale in Como, Teatro di Pavia, and Teatro di Cremona.

He also performed Zuniga in Carmen at the Politeama Foglietti Theater in Catanzaro directed by Enrico Stinchelli, Sparafucile in Rigoletto at the Teatro Sociale di Busto Arsizio, The King in Aida in the setup by Franco Zeffirelli, Zuniga in Carmen at the Theatre Kiel in Germany directed by Karasek/Rainers, the bass in Petite Messe Solennelle at the Basilica of Assisi taken up by Rai, Zuniga in Carmen at the Teatro Francesco Cilea in Reggio Calabria directed by Enrico Stinchelli, Tom in Un Ballo in Maschera by Giuseppe Verdi at the Teatro Comunale in Modena directed by Pizzi Gasparon, and Doctor in La Traviata at the Macerata Opera Festival.

In September 2023, he was a finalist in the Verdiano Competition in Busseto and won two special prizes offered by the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and the Teatro Coccia di Novara. Following this, he played the role of Doctor in La Traviata at the Bellini Theater in Catania, Don Basilio in The Barber of Seville at the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, and the two Foscari at the Municipal Theater of Piacenza.
