Zi-Zhao Guo
Career and Achievements
The Chinese tenor Zi-Zhao Guo is born in Luoyang Henan. He graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Prof. Ge Yi, in 2014. In 2015, he became a student in the Conservatory “G.Verdi” of Milan, under the tutelge of Prof. Adelina Scarabelli. he has studied with il soprano Katia Ricciarelli for many years.
During his undergraduate studies at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, he sung recital at Shanghai Concert Hall in 2012.
After graduating from Milan Conservatory of Music, he began his career as a professional opera singer; he has performed in more than 20 opera houses including China National Center for the Performing Arts, Shanghai grand theatre, theater Geneva in Switzerland, Slovak National Opera, Catania theatre ,Verona theater, Trieste theater, theater Bari , theater Bologna, theater Novara in Italia, Albanian National Opera House, etc., he sung the roles Rodolfo in Puccini’s opera “La Bohème“, Cavaradossi in “Tosca“, Pinkerton in “Madama Butterfly“, and Luigi in “Tabarro“, Don Ottavio in Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni, Nemorino in Donizetti’s opera L’elisir d’amore, Otello in Rossini’s opera Otello, Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Don José in Bizet’s opera Carmen, Duke of Mantova in Verdi’s opera Rigoletto, Alfred in La Traviata, Cassio in Otello, Manrico in Il Trovatore, Turiddu in Mascagni’s opera Cavalleria Rusticana, Andrea Chenier in Giordani’s opera Andrea Chenier, Sergio in Respighi’s opera Al Mulino, Canio in Leoncavallo’s opera Pagliacci, etc.
In November 2019, his role as Othello won the famous European classical music award DOSKY “2019 Opera Most Achievement Award”.
