Career and Achievements
Nicolas Resinelli’s Biography
Born in Brescia, Italy, in 2000, Nicolas Resinelli graduated from the “Luca Marenzio” Conservatory in his hometown. He furthered his studies under the guidance of renowned teachers Luciana Serra and Fabio Armiliato.
A recipient of a Rotary Club scholarship, he was awarded Second Prize at the Crescendo International Competition in Padua in 2020, followed by a winners’ concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
He was noticed by Maestro Alberto Gazale, who entrusted him with numerous roles at the Teatro Lirico di Sassari. He began with supporting roles such as Roderigo (Otello), Spoletta (Tosca), Schmidt (Werther), and the Second Jew (Salome). He subsequently performed as the secondary tenor in the roles of Goro (Madama Butterfly), Lord Arturo (Lucia di Lammermoor), and the Chinese Servant in Nicola Colabianchi’s Mandrake. He later appeared as principal tenor in the world premiere of La Fanciulla nella Torre by Sibelius.
During these productions, he performed alongside internationally acclaimed artists including Francesco Demuro and Rocío Pérez, and collaborated with stage director Hugo de Ana and conductor Fabrizio Carminati.
He later made his debut as Fatty “der Prokurist” in Kurt Weill’s Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny at the Fondazione Teatro Verdi in Trieste.
As a tenor soloist, he performed the oratorio Beata Virgo Maria by Valentino Miserachs at the Cathedral of Sassari, conducted by the composer himself.
He made his debut in Pagliacci as Peppe at the Teatro Alfieri in Asti and later reprised the same role at the Alghero Festival. Subsequent engagements at the Teatro Lirico di Sassari included Monostatos (Die Zauberflöte), Matteo Borsa (Rigoletto), and the Count of Lerma (Don Carlo).
In March 2027, he will participate as tenor soloist in the 4th International Conducting Competition at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, performing excerpts from Luisa Miller (Rodolfo), Ernani (title role), La Bohème (Rodolfo), and La Traviata (Alfredo).
