Career and Achievements

Marina Medici born in Sokhumi Georgia.
After completing her bassoon studies, she began her singing studies in 2002 with Svetlana Makarova.
She subsequently joined the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow under the guidance of Maestro Zurab Sotkilava. She then took part in various international singing competitions: International Shalyapin Competition (2008 – won the Grand Prix); International Music Competition Euterpe (2009 – won the Grand Prix); Luciano Pavarotti Opera Competition (2012 – third place); Special Prize for the best interpretation of W. A. Mozart at the G. B. Viotti Competition (2012); International Opera Competition of Francesc Vinas (2013 – first Junior prize and special “Natalia Troitaskaya” prize as best soprano); Renata Tebaldi International Voice Competition (San Marino – 2013 – third place).
In 2008 she made her debut in “La Bohème” by G. Puccini in the role of Musetta and in “The Tsar’s Fiancee” by R. Korsakov in the role of Marpha at the Bolshoi Hall in Moscow.
In April 2012 she debuted in the role of Mimi in “La Bohème” by G. Puccini at the Bolshoi Hall in Moscow, and in October 2012 she debuted in the role of Elisabetta in “Don Carlo” by G. Verdi at the Teatro Municipale in Piacenza.
In March 2017 she debuted in the role of Manon Lescaut at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania.
At the Cilea theater in Reggio Calabria she sang Tosca and Madama Butterfly.
Among her latest commitments, we would like to point out Mimi in Boheme at the National Opera of Tirana and Madama Butterfly at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago.
