Career and Achievements

Born in Monopoli, he graduated with honors at the Conservatorio Niccolò Piccinni, Italy, Bari under the guidance of soprano Maria Grazia Pani.

He won several International Opera Competitions, including Città di Pesaro, Valerio Gentile, Beppe De Tomasi, Milton Marelli, Tebaldi 100 the ‘Operaclick’ Critics’ Prize in the Rubini Competition, Tito Schipa, the N. van Westerhout Audience Prize and Maga Olivero. Furthermore, in 2022, he won First Prize at the International Competition Vox Mutinae ‘Nicolaj Ghiaurov‘. He arrived as a Finalist in different International Opera Competitions: Giulio Neri, Giuseppe di Stefano, Toti dal Monte, Koliqi, Tommaso Traetta.

He attended Masterclasses by: Juan Diego Florez, Michele Pertusi, Sonia Ganassi, Chris Merrit, Sara Mingardo, Brigitte Fassbaender, Roberto de Candia, Marco Vinco, Domenico Colaianni, Sherman Lowe, and repertorists such as Antonio Greco, Luca Gorla and Giorgio Martano.
He won the role of Don Basilio in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia for Aslico 2020, performed in the Theatres of the Lombardy Circuit (dir. J. Rivani, direction I. Stefanutti).
He debuted the role of Colas in Mozart’s Bastiano e Bastiana, the role of Publio in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito at the Conservatorio Nino Rota, Italy, Monopoli, Don Pasquale in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale at the Teatro Rendano, Italy, Cosenza. In 2015, he debuted the role of Impresario in Donizetti’s Le Convenienze e inconvenienze teatrali, then Strabinio in Cimarosa’s L’impresario in angustie, the role of Dulcamara in L’Elisir D’amore at the Teatro Nuovo, Italy, Milan, and Calotta in Il cavaliere errante at the Teatro Traetta, Italy, Bitonto. In 2016, he debuted the role of the Re in Cenerentola by Cristian Carrara (directed by Maria Grazia Pani), which premiered at the Teatro Petruzzelli, Italy, Bari. In 2017 at the Teatro Petruzzelli, Italy, Bari.         He debuted the role of Ernesto in Rossini’s La Gazza Ladra, L’oste in Puccini’s Manon Lescaut and the Mago in Aladino e la sua Lampada by Scardicchio. He later debuted the role of Simone in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi in Teatro Orfeo, Italy, Taranto and the role of Seneca in Monteverdi’s L’Incoronazione di Poppea in Bari (dir. Manzo, direction Pani). In 2018 at the Teatro Petruzzelli he is Fouquier Tinville in Giordano’s Andrea Chénier, Il Re di Bordonia in Scardicchio/Pani’s Il gatto con gli stivali, Il Conte di Ceprano in Verdi’s Rigoletto and Orbazzano in Rossini’s Tancredi. In 2019, he was selected by the Accademia del Belcanto ‘Rodolfo Celletti’ in Martina Franca, in the framework of which he took part in the productions in the 2019 programme of the Festival della Valle d’Itria.
Also in 2019, he sang in Verdi’s Macbeth in the Theatres of the Lombardy Circuit (dir G. Gelmetti, direction E. Barbalich). In 2020, he participated in the Festival della Valle d’Itria as a soloist in several productions. In October 2020, he played the role of Le Bailli, in Massenet’s Werther, in the Theatres of the Lombardy Circuit (dir. F. Pasqualetti, r. S. Vizioli)
In May 2021, his talent was rewarded with a scholarship from the Rotary Club of Martina Franca, in agreement with the Fondazione Paolo Grassi. In August 2021, he debuted the role of Mustafà in Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri at the Bregenzer Festspiele (dir. J. Brandani, direction B. Fassbaender). In December 2021, he played the role of Ade in La notte di Euridice by Matteo Sartini and Massimo Dilevrano in a world premiere performance in Bari.
In August 2022 he was Pistola in Falstaff with the Magna Grecia Orchestra of Taranto, (dir G. Marcianò) with Sir Bryn Terfel.
In October 2022, he is the Mago in Paisiello’s La Claudia Vendicata at the Teatro Fusco, Italy, Taranto. In November 2022, he was Brigadiere Ciappa in Nino Rota’s Napoli Milionaria, in the Theatres of the Lombardy Circuit (dir. J. Feddeck, direction A.Cirillo).
In February 2023, he was in the cast of Strauss’s Salome at the Teatro Petruzzelli, Italy, Bari (dir. Haenchen, directed by Michieletto).
In March 2023, he is Haly in Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri at the Teatro Goldoni, Italy, Livorno.
In April 2023, he was selected for the ‘Voci in Barcaccia‘ competition on Rai Radio3.
In May 2023 he was the Maestro in Prima la musica e poi le parole di Salieri live on Sky Classica HD at the Salieri Theatre, Italy, Legnago (dir. L.Benini, direction S.Sito).
In July 2023, he was selected by Maestro E. Palacio to participate as a full student at the Accademia Rossiniana ‘Alberto Zedda’, Italy, Pesaro.
In August 2023, he debuted the role of Lord Sidney in Rossini’s Viaggio a Reims at the Teatro Sperimentale, Italy, Pesaro. In September 2023, he debuted as Orator/First Priest/Second Armiger in Mozart’s The Magic Flute for the Theatres of the Lombardy Circuit.
In October 2023, he debuted the role of Wurm in Verdi’s Luisa Miller for the Theatres of the Lombardy Circuit. In January 2024 he was the Oratore of Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Teatro Filarmonico, Italy, Verona. In April 2024 performed Tobia Mill in Rossini’s La cambiale di matrimonio at the Sala dei Giganti, Italy, Padua (dir. N.Simoni, direction G.Dispenza)
In July 2024, he debuted the role Il talpa in Puccini’s Tabarro at the Teatro Orfeo, Italy, Taranto.
In August 2024 he was soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 at the Teatro Comunale, Italy, Vicenza. In November 2024, he was Simone in Gianni Schicchi at the Teatro Politeama, Italy, Lecce. In November 2024 he debuted the role of Colline in Puccini’s La bohème at the Teatro Politeama, Italy, Lecce (dir. G.Fratta, O.Draganov). In December 2024, he played Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Teatro Cavour, Italy, Imperia.
In December 2024 permeformed Timur in Turandot at the Teatro Alfondo Rendano, Italy, Cosenza (dir.Sanguineti, direction M.Vinco).

In the sacred repertoire, he performed as bass soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, Mozart’s Coronation Mass K. 347, Haydn’s Stabat mater and Bellini’s Mass for four voices.
In 2023, he was chosen as soloist for the world premiere performance of Ave Maria composed by Maestro Remo Anzovino, with the Magna Grecia Orchestra of Taranto (dir. P. Romano).
In 2024 he was bass soloist in Rossini’s Messa di Gloria at the Teatro Rossini, Italy, Pesaro.
In August 2024, he was soloist in Mozart’s Requiem with the Florentine Chamber Orchestra in Montalcino. In December 2024 he was soloist in Mozart’s Requiem with the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina in the Basilica della S. Annunziata, Florence, dir. G.Lanzetta.
