Adriano Gramigni

Career and Achievements

Graduated from the Conservatorio Arrigo Boito di Parma, Adriano studied under Lelio Capilupi. He participated in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy, where he performed the roles of Medico in Macbeth and Antonio in Le Nozze di Figaro. His training included masterclasses with renowned artists such as Elisabeth Norberg Schulz, Fiorenza Cedolins, Sonia Ganassi, Giacomo Prestia, Roberto Frontali, and Bruno De Simone. He also studied contemporary lieder with Reiko Sanada, Detlef Roth, Filippo Francis Faes, Guido Salvetti, and Lorna Windsor.

Adriano has won several accolades, including the Prato Iva Pacetti in 2013, and the First Prize and Special Prize “ParmaLirica” at the Concorso Internazionale di Canto Franco Federici.

His performance credits include:

  • At the Teatro Politeama Pratese: Lodovico in Verdi’s Otello.

  • At the Teatro Regio di Parma: Norton in La Cambiale di Matrimonio, Yakisude and Ufficiale in Madama Butterfly.

  • At the Festival Verdi di Parma: Gloucester in Verdi’s Re Lear.

  • In a French tour (including Théâtre de la Gare du Midi, Théâtre Le Pin Galant, Théâtre Alexandre Dumas, Théâtre le Forum de Fréjus, Théâtre Molière, Théâtre Montansier de Versailles, Théâtre Saint-Louis, and Théâtre de l’Archipel): Colline in La Bohème.

  • At the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino: Crébillon in La Rondine, Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata, Zuniga in Carmen, Banditore and Oracolo in Gluck’s Alceste, Der Führer in Hindemith’s Cadillac, Podestà di Como in Verdi’s La Battaglia di Legnano, Sacerdote in Dallapiccola’s Il Prigioniero, and Ceprano in Rigoletto.

  • At the Auditorio RAI: Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola.

  • At the Teatro Dante Alighieri di Ravenna, Teatro del Giglio di Lucca, and Teatro Comunale di Ferrara: Zuniga in Carmen and Simone in Gianni Schicchi.

Adriano has also performed several oratorios and symphonies, including Shostakovich’s 14th Symphony, Fauré’s Requiem, J.S. Bach’s Magnificat, and Mozart’s Requiem, among others.

He has collaborated with conductors and directors such as Riccardo Muti, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Robin Rimbaud (aka Scanner), Leonardo García Alarcón, Fabio Luisi, Valerio Binasco, Marco Tullio, and Cristina Mazzavillani Muti.
