Leonardo Neiva
Career and Achievements
Brazilian baritone Leonardo Neiva is renowned for his vocal versatility, combined with intensity and stage presence.
In the 2023-2024 season, he was given the important opportunity to make his debut with great success at the Wiener Staatsoper, singing Michelle in Il Tabarro and Marcello in La Bohème.
At the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, he sang Scarpia and also Giacomo in Giovanna d’Arco at the Malmö Opera and Copenhagen Opera Festival.

Le Nozze di Figaro as Conte Almaviva and Mandarin in Turandot at the Wiener Staatsoper.

Morales and Dancairo in Carmen with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

Leonardo Neiva was a member of the Estonian National Opera ensemble in 2022, where he sang several leading roles, notably the role of Telramund in the opera Lohengrin.
He was part of the Opus Arte recording of R. Wagner’s opera Rienzi, singing Cecco de Vecchio, and the recording of Villa-Lobos’ Amerindian Symphony No. 10 with OSESP by Naxos, in addition to his own recordings.
During his twenty-year career in South America, he sang several operas, concerts, and musicals in the most important theaters:

Leonardo Neiva was born and raised in Brasília, studied at the Brasília School of Music and at UnB – University of Brasília, lived most of his life in São Paulo, and currently lives in Vienna.
