Adriano Gramigni is Ramfis in Aida at NCPA Beijing
Bass Adriano Gramigni will perform the role of Ramfis in Aida at the National Centre for the Performing Arts from April 8 to 12, 2026.
One of the most celebrated masterpieces by Giuseppe Verdi, Aida returns to Beijing on the prestigious stage of the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Originally commissioned by the Khedive of Egypt in connection with the historic celebrations surrounding the opening of the Suez Canal, the opera remains one of the grandest and most iconic works in the international repertoire.
Blending monumental choruses, intimate drama, and evocative orchestration, Aida transports audiences into the solemn and mysterious world of ancient Egypt, where love, loyalty, and political power collide in a tragic destiny.
On the stage of the NCPA, Adriano Gramigni will portray Ramfis, the authoritative High Priest whose imposing presence embodies the spiritual and political authority at the heart of the drama.
