Così fan tutte at Opéra Théâtre de Metz, 2025

Maria Mudryak as Fiordiligi in a new production

An Opera Exploring Human Nature

Così fan tutte is one of the most emblematic operas of the Mozart-Da Ponte trilogy. Directed by Stefano Vizioli, this new production is a co-production with the Fondazione Teatro di Pisa, Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini of Jesi, Fondazione Teatro Comunale L. Pavarotti of Modena, and Teatro Sociale di Rovigo. Conductor David Reiland will lead the Orchestre National de Metz Grand Est, accompanied by the Choir of the Opéra-Théâtre de l’Eurométropole de Metz.

The opera’s plot revolves around a bet between two young men and an older friend, who doubts women’s fidelity. Disguised, the two men woo each other’s fiancées, testing their loyalty and creating a refined game of ambiguity and passion.
