We are thrilled to announce that Beatrice Venezi will lead the Orchestra and Chorus of Teatro Verdi in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail (The Abduction from the Seraglio). The production will feature a remarkable cast and a stunning maritime-inspired staging, promising a memorable experience for opera enthusiasts.

A Staging Inspired by the Sea

Director Ivan Stefanutti brings a striking maritime vision to the stage, blending the exoticism of 18th-century orientalism with symbolic elements like pearls, representing both beauty and depth. Rooted in Trieste’s connection to the sea, this unique staging enhances the narrative’s emotional resonance. Every detail, from sets to costumes, has been expertly crafted in Teatro Verdi’s workshops, creating an unforgettable backdrop for Mozart’s masterpiece.

In keeping with the opera’s historical roots as a National-Singspiel, the spoken dialogues will be presented in Italian translation, while the sung parts will remain in German.
