As part of Festival Verdi 2026, Adriano Gramigni and Alberto Comes take the stage in Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida in Busseto, portraying two powerful figures of ancient Egypt.

Alberto Comes performs the role of Ramfis, the High Priest, a solemn and authoritative figure who embodies religious power and tradition. Alongside him, Adriano Gramigni  portrays the King of Egypt, a regal presence at the heart of the opera’s political and familial conflicts.

Conducted by Giuseppe Mengoli, the production features Franco Zeffirelli’s celebrated staging, revived by Stefano Trespidi, with costumes by Anna Anni and choreography by Luc Bouy.

Originally created for the 2001 Verdi Centenary, the production brings together the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini and the Chorus of Teatro Regio di Parma, under chorus master Martino Faggiani.
