Bass Gaetano Triscari will appear as Cesare Angelotti in Tosca at the Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni.

The production premieres on November 29, 2025 at 6:00 PM, with a second performance on November 30 at 3:30 PM.

In Puccini’s dramatic masterpiece, Triscari will portray Cesare Angelotti, the former republican consul whose escape sets the entire tragedy into motion. Although brief, the role is pivotal: Angelotti’s fate draws Cavaradossi into danger, gives Scarpia the opportunity to manipulate events, and ultimately pulls Tosca into a devastating spiral of jealousy, violence, and sacrifice.

Like the first domino to fall, Angelotti’s appearance triggers the chain of events that drives one of opera’s most powerful and emotionally charged dramas.
